Well thank goodness I did, because it is one of the things that I am most proud of this year. Not to mention the fact that we all had a great time. In retrospect, I don't think I was as prepared as I should have been. Kevin and I were sick almost all winter, so the training did not progress as rapidly as it was supposed to.
Kevin ended up with a knee injury and had to bow out. Thankfully Sarah agreed to run with me, which I will always be grateful for. My goal was not to come in last place, and amazingly I finished the line before quite a few people. Though it was disheartening when the walk/runners would occassionally pass us!
Afterwards we all went to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and saw Joe Koi at the Improv in Irvine. We were all tired, but Joe Koi was funny. I laughed pretty hard. Sarah and I got our picture taken with him. Chelsea Handler is right....he does have funny looking teeth!
UPDATE:
Kristen is currently training for another marathon
Aaron is still a weekend warrior
Kenzie and her BFF are currently running 3-4 miles a day 6 days a week, for summer
Sarah still runs for exercise at the YMCA near her apartment
Kevin runs occassionally with me, but says it hurts his hips to run that slow!
I am up to 9 miles per week, and have lost 7 pounds.
